SCC-8 Sound Absorbing Material

SCC-8 is a 1″ thick fiberglass with a durable vinyl coated material quilted over the front of the cloth. Generally, used along walls, as Wall Panels or Overhead baffles, the material is sewn with strong Nylon Thread and hemmed on all sides. Rolls come available at widths of 4’ wide x 25’ long, back side is unfinished.

Applications:

SCC-8 is typically used when you are trying to absorb sound in interior environments and reflect sound waves and reverberant noise energy to be less directive and harmful in one area of a room. Generally used against walls mainly as an absorber and not to block sound on the backside of the material. Also used to supplement plywood structures on construction sites to improve the transmission loss of the plywood as well as to lower and reduce the noise on the worker’s side.
