Steel Guard Safety Corp's History dates back to 1913 when a set of entrepreneurs started a Tent and Awning company in booming steel and mining city of Terre Haute Indiana. The company started sewing not just tents and awnings but moved into the garment industry sewing items such as aprons, and clothes. The Boom Town eventually turned to bust and the company eventually changed its business focus to industrial fabric products in the 1970's for industries in petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and general industry. Making chutes, filters, covers, and custom industrial fabric products, and safety products.
In 2006, the company merged with the new Steel Guard Safety Corp. The conception of this company is different than most, we are committed to only producing value added safety products that will save our customers money, and provide the pinnacle of quality and durability. This model also makes us more astute to our customers needs, by offering free useful information to help industry and close communication through client feedback, we aim to "make industry and the world run better".
